One of the villages identified substandard houses as an issue. A
system of prioritizing, planning, volunteering, and constructing
was developed. While all houses have now been built in that
village, AHMA no longer constructs personal houses. Pouring a
concrete floor, repairing roofs, and minor repairs are completed
for houses which need to be made safer or healthier. Entire
buildings are still being constructed as community buildings
(for health clinics), schools, school kitchens and occasionally
for someone with disabilities / special cases. |
