Judy received her bachelor's degree at Graceland College and her law degree at UMKC. In earlier years, Judy served as City Prosecutor for the city of Lee's Summit. But, for more than 30 years, she has served as the Assistant City Prosecutor for Kansas City, Missouri. Over the years, Judy has prosecuted a variety of cases, including elder abuse. She currently works in the Domestic Violence Unit of the KCMO Prosecutor's Office handling cases in Jackson, Clay, Platte and Cass County Circuit Courts. She chairs the Kansas City Metro Elder Abuse Task Force and serves on the Missouri Elder Abuse and Financial Exploitation Response Coordination council. She also was a professor at Avila University for 36 years, just retiring from there this past year.
