Whitney True Francis, MA, RYT-200

Whitney Francis is the Bridge Program Coordinator with the Rose Brooks Center. The Rose Brooks Center has provided domestic violence services and support for victims of abuse and violence for over 40 years. The Bridge program provides "connections" with needed services for victims of domestic violence, including needed health care, shelter, legal services, therapy and safety planning for the future. As the coordinator Whitney works to bridge needed services with the Saint Luke's Hospital system by offering direct advocacy services with victim-survivors, clinical education, and assistance with internal policies and procedures.

Whitney holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Journalism from UMKC and a Master's Degree in Strategic Communications and Leadership from Park University. Whitney is also pursuing certification in Conflict Mediation. Whitney has spent four years in violence prevention and crisis response work and has more than ten years in group facilitation, training and education experience. Prior to starting her journey with Rose Brooks Center, Whitney spent two years as an education specialist and crisis line advocate at MOCSA (the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault) and over a decade volunteering for organizations that support women's empowerment and safety.
